The Kweyol Alphabet – part 4 (r to z)

Now we are down to the last eight sounds in the Kwéyòl alphabet. Study the table below carefully. There is one sound that you need to pay close attention to. Can you see it?

You will get used to pronouncing “tj” in no time. Also, did you notice that there is no “q” or “x” in Kwéyòl? You must try to learn all 32 sounds in the Kwéyòl language so you will be able to read and write Kwéyòl well.
