A three dimensional shape is an object that has three dimensions; length, width and height. A sphere is one type of three dimensional shape.

A sphere is a perfectly round solid figure. Every point on the surface of a sphere is the same distance from its center. Look at the pictures of spheres below.

This glass ball is a sphere. It is perfectly round. All points on the surface are the same distance from the center.

Can you think of any other objects that are spherical?
